Which Wi-Fi Network do I Use?

The college provides both in-building and exterior Wi-Fi access throughout its main campus and off-site centers in Amherst, Appomattox, and Bedford.  Below lists the different connection options we have available, please review these to see which one best meets your needs.

Students are encouraged to connect to the "CVCC" Wi-Fi to get the best performance.  When prompted to log into the "CVCC" Wi-Fi network, type "Directory\" before your username (e.g. Directory\jdoe246) and then enter your MYCVCC" password.

Faculty and Staff are encouraged to connect to the "CVCC Faculty and Staff" Wi-Fi to get the best performance.  When prompted to log into the "CVCC Faculty and Staff" Wi-Fi network, type the first part of your Office 365/Network login (e.g. doej) and then your Office 365 password.

Use of the “CVCC GUEST” Wi-Fi network does not require authentication, hence its performance is restricted. Connection to the "CVCC GUEST" Wi-FI network is available once the user agrees to the Open Wireless Disclaimer (see below) that will be presented upon connection.
