Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) is a two-year institution and a proud member of the Virginia Community College System. We offer state-supported educational facilities serving the city of Lynchburg and the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell, reaching over 228,000 people in the region.
At CVCC, we prioritize academic excellence in all areas and provide a variety of programs to meet the diverse needs of our community. Our two-year college transfer programs in arts, sciences, and pre-professional areas lead to associate degrees, with most courses eligible for transfer to four-year institutions.
CVCC also offers occupational and technical programs that lead to diplomas, certificates, or associate of applied science degrees, equipping students for successful careers. Additionally, we provide special training for industry and community service, offering instruction tailored to the needs of individuals, groups, and the general public.
