Ways To Give
Donations of cash, property, stocks, or any assets for which you can obtain an appraised value. Donations can also be made through your donor advised fund.
Click on the Donate To CVCC button to make a secure online donation by credit or debit card.
Unrestricted and restricted gifts are received on an annual basis. Unrestricted gifts are most useful to the Foundation in funding those priorities determined annually by the Foundation's Board of Directors. Restricted gifts for annual scholarship awards, endowments, instructional equipment, and other designated purposes provide much needed long and short-term support of students and programs at CVCC.
Request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses, and match volunteer hours.
Deferred gifts of cash, securities and real property may endow scholarships, facilities, faculty or administrative chairs, as well as operational requirements of divisions, departments, or programs in accordance with the CVCC Educational Foundation Gift Acceptance Policy.
Gifts-in-Kind of instructional equipment or other educationally related goods or services may be accepted by the Foundation.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Are you age 70½ or older and have to take required minimum distributions (RMD)? Ask your IRA Administrator about the procedure for making a QCD. You can make a tax-free transfer of up to $100,000 each year directly from your IRA to a charity which counts as your RMD but isn't included in your adjusted gross income. For a married couple, if both spouses are age 70½ or over and both have IRAs, each spouse can exclude up to $100,000 for a total of up to $200,000 per year.
Whatever method of giving you use, your tax-deductible contribution can change the life of a deserving student, create or expand an innovative project on campus, or allow the college to purchase expensive instructional equipment to keep our technical programs on par with what is used by local employers.
