As established under the Code of Virginia, Title 23.1, Chapter 29 - State Board for Community Colleges and Virginia Community College System, Central Virginia Community College’s (CVCC) policies and procedures conform to the policies and procedures as established by the laws and regulations of the U.S. Federal Government, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the policies of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). If a college policy or procedure conflicts with an equivalent or related law or regulation of the federal government, the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a policy of the VCCS then the law or regulation of the federal government, the Commonwealth of Virginia, or policy of the VCCS takes precedence, and the CVCC policy or procedure will be modified to comply.
