The 2026 Welding Wars Competition is coming!

Central Virginia Welding Wars is a high-energy skills competition bringing together high school, college, and professional welders to compete in a series of hands-on challenges designed to test precision, technique, and craftsmanship.
In response to workforce needs across our region, CVCC has partnered with Campbell County, C&C Piping & Fabrication, Southern Air, and the Central Virginia Workforce Development Board to create a dynamic, competition-driven twist on the traditional job fair. Welding Wars connects talent with industry, increases awareness of career opportunities, and showcases the strength of Central Virginia’s skilled trades.
Interested in competing or sponsoring?
- Presenting Partner - $1,500 - Partner receives podium time at awards ceremony, top billing on event marketing, vendor table, two competitor spots, opportunity to interview high school and college level winners.
- Lunch Partner - $1,000 - Partner receives company recognition on event signage, marketing and electronic media, opportunity to included promotional materials in the goody bags, five lunch admissions
- Awards Partner - $750 - Partner will announce winners during awards ceremony, receive vendor table, one competitor spot, and opportunity to interview high school and college winners.
- Corporate Partner - $200 - Partner receives vendor table and opportunity to interview winners in high school and college levels.
- Welding Wars - Welder Only - $50 - Compete with local professionals for a cash prize.
