Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) has announced that William 'Eddie' Amos, DCS, will be the Commencement Speaker for its 56th graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 7-10 p.m., at the Liberty University Vines Center.
Dr. Amos stands as a technology leader and visionary in Software Development, Data Science, and Organizational Transformation. With over three decades of experience, his journey is a testament to the enduring value of dedication, continuous learning, and strategic foresight. Dr. Amos attributes his foundational learning to Central Virginia Community College, a pivotal catalyst that ignited his lifelong pursuit of education and technological advancement.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Amos boasts a distinguished academic pedigree, including a Doctor of Computer Science Degree from Colorado Tech and a Master of Science from American University, bachelor’s degrees from the University of Maryland and Virginia Tech, an associate degree from Northern Virginia Community College, and postgraduate degrees from The National War College, American University, and Harvard Business School.

CVCC expects to graduate 401 students at its 56th commencement exercise, and confer a combined total of 1,823 credentials for various associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, career study certificates, and Workforce credentials.
