Central Virginia Community College wishes to acknowledge our Class of 2020 graduates. Not only have you made the transition from student to graduate, but you have done so through some very trying and unprecedented circumstances. The fact that the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of our Spring 2020 Commencement ceremony does not take away from all you have accomplished or the pride we have in you. Please celebrate with your friends, family, and loved ones because you have persevered and earned your credentials. Until we can reschedule your commencement ceremony or gather to celebrate in other ways, we want to offer you this online version of our graduation program and extend our most sincere congratulations to you! Please know that we will notify each graduation candidate of our future plans to celebrate your achievements, once those plans are known.

* The Graduation Candidate Search and graduation program has to be compiled before the final list of degree candidates can be certified. The appearance of a student’s name in the results of this search or in the graduation program does not indicate official graduation status nor does the exclusion of a student’s name indicate non-graduation status.

Greetings CVCC Class of 2020 graduates!
We need your help to create a STATEWIDE tribute for the Class of 2020.

CVCC is excited to announce that a state commencement celebration is being developed by Governor Ralph Northam and First Lady Pamela Northam in partnership with Virginia Public Media (VPM) called “Virginia Graduates Together.” The premiere is scheduled for May 29 at 5 p.m. on Virginia PBS stations and on the state of Virginia Facebook page LIVE. During this 30-minute program broadcast state officials want to feature the accomplishments and experiences of Virginia’s most remarkable graduating class – You!

To take part in this statewide tribute, we would like to ask you to please provide any weblinks, photos or videos, or social media postings you did with your friends and family to celebrate your graduation to this state of Virginia email address: vagrad@vpm.org by end of the day on Monday, 5/25 with the email subject line: CVCC - Virginia Graduates. By sending your weblinks, videos and photos, you are granting VPM the right to use them in the broadcast and on statewide social media and streaming.

If you have any questions about the broadcast, videos or social media posts please call or email Chris Bryant at 434-832-7293 bryant@centralvirginia.edu.
