Accounting: Assist the Cashiers and Accounting Office staff with office tasks and projects. These tasks will range from shredding and filing of paperwork to updating spreadsheets and working with accounts payable, accounts receivable and student accounts. Projects will be assigned depending on availability, office need and skill level. The ideal student will have good computer skills – Excel and Word - and good communication skills. The FWS student will work with confidential student data.

Admissions & Records: They would assist us with filing/scanning documents, administrative tasks, basic customer service at the service windows and via telephone, shredding, and other tasks, as assigned.  The position requires a high attention to detail, outstanding customer service skills, a positive attitude and work ethic, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a strict adherence to FERPA standards while working with a large volume of confidential data.

Campus Police: They would be staffing community outreach projects (such as tables, flyers, etc.) and they will be helping with maintaining internal documents such as general orders, filing, assisting the dispatchers, etc.

Counseling Front Desk: First point of contact for the Counseling and Financial Aid Office.  Greet students, parents, faculty and staff as they enter the office, answer basic questions and/or refer students to the appropriate department or staff member. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls and emails, and assist with appointment scheduling. Courteous, friendly, and good communication skills.

Dual Enrollment: Assist with filing/shredding and other duties as assigned.

Financial Aid: Welcoming students, assist them with basic financial aid questions they may have, answer phones and call students back. Collect required documents from students and document scanning.

Fitness Center: Welcoming visitors; answering visitors' questions/assisting with equipment usage; cleaning; putting equipment back in the proper places; ensuring visitors follow guidelines; communicating needs with supervisor.  Students must be responsible and be able to perform duties unsupervised.

Food Pantry Assistant: Assist the Community Connections Coordinator with operation of the food pantry. Handle student in-take and distribute food according to the guidelines; Maintain accurate computer record of students who use the food pantry; Pack bags with client food choices; Stock shelves so sufficient choices are always available for the students; Communicate with Parkview when food needs to be restocked; Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the Food Pantry; Operate the Food Pantry in the absence of the Community Connections Coordinator; Performs other tasks as necessary deemed by the Community Connections Coordinator; Support the philosophy and objectives of the College; Other duties as assigned to meet the mission of the College.

Mechatronics: Learn Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software (free tutorials available - no prior experience with video editing required) in order to create video tutorials from existing instructor-created screen recordings. Existing video segments need to be trimmed and grouped, audio close-captioning must be added and spellchecked, and audio volume normalized throughout video. Visual cues such as on-screen arrows and highlighting overlaid, and relevant pictures added. Assistance with social media posting - Instagram and Facebook.

Media Specialist III: The media production work study position requires some knowledge of photography, illustrative and layout design. Assist in capturing of photos and video footage for both internal and external marketing. Work with media specialist to produce marketing materials for events on campus, including but not limited to committee, department, and student activities. Photograph some college events and post to social media.

Student Life: Assist in the daily activities of the Student Life Office including but not limited to taking accurate messages, photocopying, posting flyers, assisting any student, faculty, or staff that enters the office.

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS): The CVCC TRIO SSS is a federally funded program that offers support to students helping them overcome barriers and succeed in higher education. TRIO SSS is looking for a Work Study student who can perform the following duties:
Provide Customer Service to students and staff, Communicate with students and other campus departments to assist students, Assist with filing paperwork, Helping TRIO staff set up meetings and workshops for students, Familiar with Microsoft Suite, Strong communication skills, A strong desire to help others.

Workforce Solutions: Assist with front desk coverage and other supportive tasks.
