AWARD: Career Studies Certificate LENGTH: 1 Year
This program is designed for the student with networking experience who desires advanced skills in network security. Upon completion of this program, the student may seek a career as a network security or internet security specialist. This program also helps prepare students for the CompTIA Security= and the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification exams.
Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics. In addition to the admission requirements established by the College, entry into this program requires students to have prior work experience or academic preparation in the area of Information Technology or Networking. The courses in this program require students to have collegeIevel skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Students with deficiencies in English or Mathematics will be required to take appropriate developmental courses. Students should schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss these admission requirements.
