Earning your SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM_SCP) credential proves your knowledge to colleagues and your employer.  Get recognized as an HR expert and leader - and help your organization stay competitive in today's global economy.  The program goal is to prepare students to take the SHRM credentialing exam. 


Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.


All students are expected to complete the requirements of the program. Students must meet specific educational and work experience criteria at the time they submit their application in order to be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR professional society.
