Need Help Paying for College?

  • Your first option should be grants from federal and state programs, but if these grants do not provide the amount of money you need, then a scholarship from the CVCC Educational Foundation should be your next alternative.
  • The starting point for scholarships is the same as for these governmental grants - you can complete the FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov.
  • After you complete the FAFSA, you can then complete CVCC Educational Foundation's online scholarship application at cvcc.academicworks.com.

Not enough Financial Aid? A CVCC scholarship may help fill the gap.

One Scholarship Application

By completing CVCC Educational Foundation’s online application, you will be considered for all of our available scholarships. The scholarship application period for each school year opens on March 1st for the next fall semester beginning in August. The majority of our scholarship awards are made between April and July each year and are for the upcoming school year (including fall and spring semesters).  If you did not receive a CVCC scholarship during that award period, there is also an application period which opens on November 1st for just spring semester scholarships, although funds are usually very limited.

CVCC Educational Foundation scholarships do not need to be repaid. The majority of the foundation's scholarships can be used for tuition and fees only. See the link in the left column for additional details on foundation scholarships.
