Student Life - Brandon Martin - A Voice of Justice

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Zoom
Event Details
It is a 40 minute performance with Q & A afterwords.
Brandon Martin, will wow you, amaze you, and you will know what true talent sounds like. In any other time, he would be performing with the cast of Hamilton! (Feel free to ask him about what role/s he would be perfect for in Hamilton!) But instead, he is here with all of us virtually, and we are better for it. Brandon Martin is the voice that is needed for this moment and this time. He shares his historical knowledge of music from times of slavery, through the civil rights era, as well as current times and that reflect Black Lives Matter.
Brandon speaks to the importance of one voice, of using that voice. (through song, through speech, and even at the voting booth.) Every voice is important and impactful, and Brandon makes us
HEAR
the importance of singing out, and speaking up.
Brandon Martin’s shows through this pandemic, have been the most welcomed (perhaps the most timely?) and the have received the highest praise. This is truly what we all need to be listening to and talking about. Brandon is singing to this generation, while reminding all of us, the power of one voice harnessed in song.
