G3 Programs


This program is designed for the student who desires to become a highly skilled operator of machines and tools used in the manufacturing industry. Upon completion of the program, the student may become skilled machinist and machinist trainee.



This program is designed for students seeking to enter other healthcare programs such as Respiratory Therapy, Radiology Technology, Nursing and Physician Assistant. These courses prepare students for entry-level requirements into these programs. The Health Sciences program meets the general education requirements for the Centra College RN program.



This program is designed for the student that desires a career in advanced manufacturing. It combines content from mechanics, electronics, robotics and computer related topics to be applied in a practical setting to assemble, test and troubleshoot.




Upon completion of this program, students receive a Career Studies Certificate. This program prepares students with entry-level skills to advance, to higher levels of EMS certification including Paramedic. CVCC offers an AAS degree in Emergency Medical Services- Paramedic. 



This Career Studies Certificate provides a broad overview of the profession for those individuals seeking employment in this field. All of the courses in this program are acceptable for credit in the Administration of Justice AAS program.



This program is designed for the student who desires to obtain the skills needed for a basic entry-level welder.



This program introduces students to a career in the field of emergency telecommunications. Students learn related topics including keyboarding, communications and crisis management that prepare them to field calls for service for law enforcement, fire service and emergency medical services (EMS).



This program is designed for those who looking to enter the field of Cybersecurity (information assurance), for those who are presently in IT or a security field and who desire to increase their knowledge and update their skills, and for those who must augment their abilities in other fields with knowledge and skills in information security. Upon completion of this program, students receive a Career Studies Certificate. This program is designed to add credentials and improve job skills for future information technology professionals.



Upon completion of this program, students receive a Career Studies Certificate. This pro-gram prepares students with entry-level skills to enter the high demand industry of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.



This program is the first level of both the Industrial Maintenance Electrician and Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Certificate programs (pending approval). Students are able to complete a variety of entry-level industrial courses related to safety, blueprint reading, mechanical and electrical processes.



The Computer and Electronic Technology Fundamentals is the first level in the pathway to earning an Associate’s degree in computer networking. Students study content related
to electronics and computer networking to prepare them for a career in technology, computer networking and manufacturing. 



This program prepares student for entry-level certifications in the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) CORE and Electrical Level I certifications. This Career Studies Certificate is the first level of the Electrical Certificate program (pending approval) and covers topics related to electrical equipment and systems in the residential setting.



The Information Systems Technology Career Studies Certificate includes courses that provide a wide-range of topics to provide students with basic understanding of many IT related topics related to software design, programming, webpage design, database management and commonly used software.

This program focuses on developing you in the areas of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer and Industrial Engineering disciplines.
