I am trying to apply to CVCC through the online application and it’s giving me an error message saying I have already applied or attended a community college in VA, and it will not let me continue. I have not applied or attended CVCC in the past, so what should I do?

The VCCS is a network of 23 community colleges in VA and all colleges within the VCCS use the same student information system. So, if you applied or attended another community college in VA, then you will need to input your old student ID into your CVCC application before it will let you proceed. This is the case even if you only attended a weekend seminar, camp, or driver improvement course at CVCC or another community college. If you do not remember your student ID, then please contact Michael Duncan - Admissions Operations Specialist at duncanm@centralvirginia.edu.

I am trying to apply to CVCC through the online application and it’s giving me an error message saying that my SSN does not match the records we have on file, what should I do?
You may not have provided your SSN when you attended CVCC the first time. The typical solution to this is simply not to give us your SSN in your application. If you would like your SSN on file, then you will need to provide a physical copy of your social security card to the Admissions & Records Office.
