CVCC officials are in regular contact with public health authorities to ensure all students and employees are aware of what the necessary virus precautions and preventive measures are, as well as the steps to take in the event of a possible exposure. For information about COVID-19, the public can call the Virginia Health Department at 877-ASK-VDH3. 


On July 21, 2021, CVCC received notification that a student tested positive for COVID-19. The student was most recently on the CVCC campus on July 19 and will remain in isolation per VDH/CDC guidance. The college has notified students and employees who were in direct contact with the student and advised them to quarantine per VDH/CDC guidelines.  The college’s COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been followed.  CVCC’s campus buildings remain open to the public, and programs and services are continuing in-person and online.

On April 19, 2021, CVCC received notification that a student tested positive for COVID-19. The student was most recently on the CVCC campus on April 15 and will remain in isolation per VDH guidance.
