Central Virginia Community College faculty and staff have been teleworking and teaching remotely during this pandemic.  Only essential employees and those with an approved business need have been allowed to work or be on campus. 

CVCC officials are in regular contact with public health authorities to ensure all students and employees are aware of what the necessary virus precautions and preventive measures are, as well as the steps to take in the event of a possible exposure. For information about COVID-19, the public can call the Virginia Health Department at 877-ASK-VDH3. 


- Reported COVID-19 Case on Campus
On September 13, 2020, CVCC received notification that a student tested positive for COVID-19. The student was most recently on the CVCC campus on September 10 and will remain in isolation per VDH guidance. The college has notified students and employees who were in direct contact with the student and advised them to quarantine per VDH guidelines.  The college’s COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been followed.  CVCC’s campus buildings remain closed to the public, while programs and services continue virtually.

On September 3, 2020
, CVCC received notification that a student tested positive for COVID-19. The student was most recently on the CVCC campus on August 25 and will remain in quarantine per VDH guidance. In consultation with the local health department, the college has determined there was no direct exposure on the campus since the student was not on campus within two days prior to becoming symptomatic. The college’s COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been followed.  CVCC’s campus buildings remain closed to the public, while programs and services continue virtually.

The college’s COVID-19 cleaning and disinfecting protocols have been followed.  CVCC’s campus buildings remain closed to the public, while programs and services continue virtually.
